Today I read a blog that talked about how Americans don't believe in evolution and how it's really pathetic. (It is) Then I was going through the comments and someone said that it's depressing how the country is becoming a bunch of morons. He went on to compare these people to those who don't believe in Global Warming.
I don't believe in the popular theory of global warming. Thus, he thinks I'm a moron too. I probably lost this person's respect and that upsets me. Oh, well.
On other note I've created my schedule for the upcoming TV season. I shall now share it with all of you.

I've really been enjoying Psych on the USA Network, it's on multiple times during the week so it shouldn't clash with anything else. If you get the Cartoon Network I'd recommend: Venture Brothers, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop and Robot Chicken for some silly fun. Oops almost forgot Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law. Hilarious!
My friend made me watch Cowboy Bebop the movie this summer. Bad times. I don't really enjo any of those late night cartoons. I'm def going to give psych a consideration.
Lost is a gripping show but you would have to have seen the last two seasons to really figure out what is going on.
I actually plan on getting the first two seasons of Lost via Netflix after I finish catching up with Nip/Tuck. I'm lucky that the season doesn't start until much later.
Cowboy Bebop is so good.
I enjoyed the Cowboy Bebop movie but the half hour series is so much better. It's like any movie based on a series - it's an extra gift for the fans but doesn't really capture the best of all the characters. If you get bored or catch a cold, get some of the episodes from Netflix and watch them in order.
I guess you're referring to me. The sad fact is that I forget where I posted that, and haven't been back; so if you left a comment, and concluded from my silence that you'd lost my respect, it ain't true....
I don't want to make a big deal of it. More than the particulars of global warming per se, it bothers me that as a nation we seem to be able to ignore facts based on political and/or religious points of view. That's a general observation. It defies explanation that global warming "belief" or "disbelief" seems to fracture mostly on party lines. Why should it be so? If you or anyone doesn't agree with the concept, then it seems that it requires some sort of refutation of the hundreds of climate scientists and their studies. I'm not enough of an expert to be able to do so. And maybe I'm naive in my assumption that all or most of those scientists from all over the globe have no particular axe to grind, and have followed good and peer-reviewed protocols to get to their conclusions. Those public personae who disagree seem to have connections to polluters; or so it mostly seems. The thing is that, as opposed to disbelief in evolution, which mainly makes us look stupid as a nation and just means that we're conceding science to our competitors in the world -- if Indians and Chinese and whoever else invent the alternative energy that we need, and all the other inventions of the future, we'll benefit anyway -- denying global warming as national policy, and assuming it's true (which I do) could lead to the extinction of us all.
Meanwhile, I don't disrespect you or anyone just because they hold opposing views. Particularly if they are able to defend them. I"ve even been known to change my mind when presented with good arguments. So. Sorry, to the extent that I must have done, that I made you feel bad.
